MyThrottle Social Rules 

We do our best to keep MyThrottle safe, but we cannot guarantee it. Our admin and moderator team need assistance cleaning up from time to time. You can help by adhering to the following rules:

  1. You will not send or otherwise post unauthorized commercial communications (such as spam) on MyThrottle.
  2. You will not collect users' content or information, or otherwise access MyThrottle, using automated means (such as harvesting bots, robots, spiders, or scrapers) without our permission.
  3. You will not engage or promote in unlawful multi-level marketing, such as a pyramid schemes, on MyThrottle. (ex. Scentsy, Mary-Kay, or whatever other foo-foo thing.)
  4. You will not upload viruses or other malicious code.
  5. You will not solicit login information or access an account belonging to someone else.
  6. You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.
  7. You will not post content that is: hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.
  8. You will not offer any contest, giveaway, or sweepstakes ("promotion") on MyThrottle without our prior written consent. If we consent, you take full responsibility for the promotion, and will follow our guidelines and all applicable laws.
  9. You will not use MyThrottle to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.
  10. You will not facilitate or encourage any violations of these rules.

 

 

Account Security

MyThrottle users provide their real names and information, security of that information is very important to the staff. Here are some rules relating to registering and maintaining the security of your account:

  1. You will not provide any false personal information on MyThrottle, or create an account for anyone other than yourself without permission.
  2. You will not create more than one personal profile. Once discovered, both accounts will be banned.
  3. If we disable your account, you will not create another one without our permission. See rule #2.
  4. You will not use your personal profile for your own commercial gain (such as selling your participation points for raffles).
  5. You will not use MyThrottle if you are under 13. While there are riders that are under 13, this site is made for a more mature audience.
  6. You will not use MyThrottle if you are a convicted sex offender.
  7. You will keep your contact information accurate and up-to-date. This helps others searching for riding groups and helps keep a more active site.
  8. You will not share your password, let anyone else access your account, or do anything else that might jeopardize the security of your account.
  9. You will not transfer your account to anyone without first getting our permission.
  10. If you select a username for your account we reserve the right to remove or reclaim it if we believe appropriate (such as when a trademark owner complains about a username that does not closely relate to a user's actual name or it is offensive in nature.)

 What can I do once I register?
Answer Once you have activated your account, you can create events, post in the forum, add pictures, and even set up a group. MyThrottle is a complete motorcycle networking site not a generic meetup site.
2 How much does membership cost?
Answer Are you ready for this?...Membership is completely free! Motorcycle is a passion that is expensive enough, why should you have to pay any extra to be part of the best motorcycle enthusiasts network?

 Will my information be handed out to anyone?
Answer Absolutely not! The reason why this site is built upon a content management system is that it offers unparalleled security. The site is not run by a corporation but a fellow enthusiast who has your privacy in mind.

 Is this site for all motorcycles?
Answer Yes. The problem with most "motorcycle social sites" is that they target only a certain kind of motorcycle or rider. MyThrottle is for anyone on two wheels and even the occasional trike.

 How do I get a picture featured in the main site gallery?
Answer Simply email an administrator or a moderator with your request. Additionally, any motorcycles from contests or publicly posted pictures will be posted to this area.

 How do I get my friends to try out MyThrottle?
Answer Great Question! We'd love to see the site grow! Once you log in, go to the community tab and click on the Friends tab. Select invite friends and send them a message.

 I registered, how come I can't log in?
Answer In order to use your account, you must click the activation link sent in the confirmation email. This    email    is    sent upon completing the registration form. If you accidentally typed in your email wrong TWICE or simply deleted the email, contact an administrator for furhter assistance. We'll get you logged in and ready to socialize.

 Do I have to pay to sell items?
Answer No, but you can't come to this site advertising toaster ovens. Pyramid scams and telemarketing schemes are also a "no go". Remember, this site is all about motorcycles.

 Can I get my own section in the forums?
Answer Certainly, but you must be a legitimate business with a "brick and mortar" storefront.Strictly online resellers may qualify, but your account must be in good standing and you must at least have a good karma rating.

 Where can I post my brand?
Answer Spamming is definitely not tolerated, the site has a few spots you can list your business or items. Please do not spam the forums or contact members without their expressed permission. Do so without authority is a good way to get banned.
